OVERVIEW TOUR
The overview tour will acquaint visitors with a well-to-do Rigan’s traditions of daily culture. A significant part of the exhibition consists of unique 17th-18th cent. ceiling and wall paintings. Matching historical interior items from the collection of the Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation create a peculiar character and mood for each room. Visitors can visit the ancient shop room, the kitchen with an open hearth, the guest salon, the dancing hall, the “poet’s room”, the family chapel, the master’s room, the “girl’s room”, as well as the historical basement vaults and the romantic attic, where exhibition halls are located.
Excursion duration: up to 60 min.

Partying at the museum
From the age of 5
We offer to celebrate a birthday, name day, graduation or other event with your family friends in the Mentzendorff House, 17th cent. Rigan’s home! The programme “One day in a Rigan’s house…”, guests will get acquainted with an ancient merchant’s or craftsman’s daily routine: cooking, weighing, measuring, crafts, tidying the premises, preparing for festivities, etc.We shall demonstrate the open-type hearth to taste the pancakes made on the hearth and invite you to dance ancient dances in the Vato Hall. Participants of the event will have the opportunity to participate in quizzes and games. Afterwards, it is possible to enjoy the treat that you have prepared yourselves.

Programme "One day in a Rigan’s house…"
Children of pre-school educational institutions will get acquainted with an ancient merchant’s or craftsman’s daily routine: cooking, weighing, measuring, crafts, cleaning the premises, preparing for holidays, etc. An open hearth will be demonstrated, pancakes made on the hearth will be tasted, and ancient dances will be danced in the Vato Hall.

Celebrating the wedding in the museum!
For the newly-weds and their guests we offer a visit to a 17th cent. Rigan’s house. The programme will acquaint the guests with an ancient merchant’s or craftsman’s daily routine:The museum premises are available for a wedding photo session.
Duration of the event: about one hour (between 11.00 am and 5.00 pm)

Piedāvājam iznomāt telpas 17. gs. rīdzinieku namā – Vecrīgā, Mencendorfa namā-muzejā.
Mencendorfa namā aicinām organizēt: koncertus, izrādes, prezentācijas, laulību ceremonijas, saviesīgus vakarus un citus sarīkojumus, kā arī nomāt muzeja izstāžu zāli komercizstādēm.
